History

1862
The first Tatsuuma Etsuzo branched the house from the Tatsuuma Honke (Hakushika Brewery) and started a new sake brewing business.
The first Etsuzo bought the "Urokogura" of the Sasabe family in Nishinomiya at that time and started brewing sake, and started loading it into Edo under the name "Scale". After that, we put out the "Hakutaka" mark with the highest priority on quality, and obtained a very high reputation for both quality prices.
1877
Japan's first national exposition was held in Tokyo, and it was exhibited at this competition and won the Kamon Prize.
1889
He won the grand prize at numerous international expositions, including the french and Paris World Expositions and winning awards.
1897
Etsuzo Ii took over the family business. The first Etsuzo Yings away and calls himself Etsuzo. Etsuzo Ii, the son-in-law of his eldest daughter Mon, was trained by the first Etsuzo and worked sake brewing.
1909
Exhibited at the 2nd National Sake Fair held at Takinogawazo Laboratory and received the "Honors Award".
1917
Etsuzo II passed away, and Etsuzo Iii took over the family business.
1924
Sake was adopted for the first time in the omikake of Ise Jingu Shrine. Hakutaka is the only sake in Japan that has been selected as a sake for Ise Jingu Shrine.
1929
Changed the company name from "Kitatatsuuma Shoten" to "Tatsuuma Etsuzo Shoten Co., Ltd." and became an organization of Co., Ltd.
1939
World War II began, and production was reduced due to the Taiheiyo War and the shortage of raw rice.
1945
The wooden warehouse was burned down by the war damage. The brewery was resumed by borrowing the burnt-out Kitatenzo and tatsuma Honke Shuzo Co., Ltd.'s main brewery.
1950
Two breweries, the Kita store and the maezo of Daihokuzo, will be constructed, as well as a rice milling plant, a bottling plant, a warehouse, an office, etc., to complete the reconstruction plan.
1960
Constructed a four-story Hakutaka Warehouse with reinforced concrete.
1961
